Fishing bounced back quickly after Tropical Storm Emily
Tropical Storm Emily built up quickly but also blew through the area just as fast. We received some wind and rain, shutting down fishing for a couple of days. But, conditions settled down soon after and the fishing has been very good! The water is a bit off color, especially near the passes, but baitfish are plentiful and clients on Siesta Key fishing charters landed trout, mackerel, snapper, grouper, bluefish, jacks, and ladyfish. One unexpected benefit was the drop in water tepmerature; it was 80 degrees this morning. Fishing should be good all summer barring bad weather!
