Fishing resumes in Sarasota after storm
We experienced a lot of rain and wind this week on Siesta Key in Sarasota, Florida as a tropical system moved through. I was able to get out this morning after several days off and get a Siesta Key fishing report. As expected, the water was very dirty near the passes and finding clean water to fish was the key. We moved around a bit, just picking at them, before getting on a good speckled trout and snapper bite in Robert's Bay. Free lined live shrimp near grass edges with bait on it produced a bunch of trout to 18" and a few mangrove snappers. The water should clear up quicky as the weather stabilizes.
