Siesta Key fishing charters produce in the wind.
Clients on Siesta Key fishing charters did well this week, despite having to deal with a stiff easterly breeze. Anglers did well casting Gulp Shrimp on a 1/4 ounce jig head, catching several species including pompano, bluefish, speckled trout, jack crevelle, grouper, ladyfish, and more. The best spots were submerged grass beds in Sarasota Bay in 6' to 10' of water, especially those near both Big Sarasota Pass and New Pass. Bait is still out on the beach and produced on the grass flats as well.
