Big Sarasota river snook
Unseasonably warm weather has the water temperature above normal for mid-February, which may result in river fishing coming to an end shortly. However, ther are still a few nice one around to thrill anglers. Bob Blaylock from Plant City took out a fishing charter with me on Friday. He and his buddy cast Rapala plugs for 5 hours, and while they only caught a few snook, Bob was rewarded with a real trophy! He caught a big Sarasota river snook. It hit his Firetiger jointed BX Minnow and put up a great battle, coming to the net after a couple of minutes, This is a situation for the more experienced angler that is seeking a "quality" fish over numbers. Fishing is best from October to March.
