Good speckled trout bite in Sarasota
I usually only run a single fishing trip in the morning, but I had a good client who could only go out on a fishing charter this afternoon, so we gave it a try. The tide was coming in strong and we had a nice breeze; good conditions for drifting the grass flats. We worked our way up the west side of Sarasota Bay, doing the best out in front of Buttonwood Harbor. Bass Assassin jigs in red/gold and glow/chartreuse produced speckled trout to 22", along with ladyfish and Spanish mackerel.
