Winter finally arrives on Siesta Key!
It has been unseasonably warm of late, but it appears that winter has finally arrived. Strong fronts moved through this week, bringing a lot of wind and cooler temperatures. The key to achieving angling success is finding clean water, as the tides bring in muddy, churned up water from the Gulf of Mexico. The middle of Sarasota Bay near Buttonwood and areas from Robert's Bay south were productive of late. Clients landed pompano, speckled trout, bluefish, flounder, and ladyfish using both lures and fly.
